BEARS VALUES (5).png

At North Sydney District Junior Cricket Club, we are proud to be BEARS.

Our values guide how we train, play, support each other, and represent our Club - on and off the field.

B – Belonging
We create a welcoming community where every player, family, and volunteer feels included, valued, and part of the team.

Belonging captures the inclusive spirit of NSDJCC - whether a child is a future star or just learning the game, every player has a role. The Club prioritises participation over exclusion, emphasising equity in decision-making, ensuring players are engaged regardless of skill level, and promoting lifelong friendships.

E – Effort
We give our best at training and on game day, and we learn from every experience - win or lose.

Effort reflects the Club’s emphasis on growth through hard work and reflection.
Winning is not pursued at all costs - instead, improvement is driven by learning from past games and committing to development. Players are encouraged to train with purpose, play with passion, and stay committed through the highs and lows of sport.

A – Attitude
We show respect to teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, and ourselves—always.

Attitude encompasses respect, composure, and sportsmanship.
Whether in victory or defeat, players and parents are expected to behave with dignity and humility. This includes following umpire decisions without dissent, supporting teammates, staying calm under pressure, and representing the Club with pride and integrity.

R – Resilience
We bounce back from challenges, stay positive under pressure, and keep learning and growing.

Resilience is about developing the mental strength to face setbacks, errors, or tough days. It’s staying calm, supporting each other, and showing character—even when things aren’t going our way. It reinforces that junior cricket is a learning ground—not just for skills, but for building life-ready young people.

S – Spirit
We play for each other and the love of the game, with fairness, fun, and pride in being a Bear.

Spirit reflects the essence of the NSDJCC identity - playing with mateship, joy, and honour. It includes fair play, celebrating the game’s traditions, and supporting others on and off the field. It also means putting the team first, sharing success, and bringing positive energy to every match and training session.
